You’ll begin with the foundation of every true botanical study.

Here you’ll learn to read light, understand form, and notice the subtle anatomy of each petal, leaf, and stem. As you draw, you’ll naturally take in the essentials of perspective, composition, and colour. Even a simple monochrome study—built only from tones of grey—can hold depth, dimension, and quiet realism.

By the end, you’ll have a piece that reflects the true character of botanical art: patient steps, intentional lines, and an appreciation for the beauty hidden in small, everyday details.
