In March 2016, The World of Interiors featured my sweet pea artwork in their prestigious "Artistic Impressions" section. Working from my Karoo studio, seeing my work in one of the world's most respected interiors magazines felt like validation of a path I'd chosen—staying true to my artistic vision while creating work that could travel far beyond this remote corner of South Africa.

Insider SA featured both my interior work and my botanical art – delicate studies of indigenous flowers rendered with the precision and attention to detail that botanical art demands.

We discussed my journey as a botanical artist - how I'm a South African born, internationally trained fine artist who studied at the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerpen, then art history in Munich and Frankfurt, before specialising in botanical art with the Society of Botanical Artists in the UK.

For Fabster artist Sally Arnold, the rural landscapes of her childhood in South Africa have always loomed large, becoming her main inspiration to create art.
